The State Government continues the delivery of driver's licenses from the social program CNH Pai D’égua. This time, the residents of Ananindeua were the beneficiaries and received the document completely free of charge.

The Vice Governor Hana Ghassan carried out the deliveries and emphasized the importance of the program in the personal and professional lives of the new drivers.

"We are living a moment of prosperity in our state. In November of this year, we will have COP30, which will attract people from all over the world, and many people will need drivers, for apps, taxis, vans, and shared rides. So, those who are looking, not just as drivers, but for job openings, nowadays require better qualifications. So, I am sure that you are one step closer to achieving your dreams, having today the free driver's license. No one paid, no one here paid a single real. Do you know why? Because the State believes in you, believes in our youth, believes in our workers," she emphasized.

Considered the largest free driver's license issuance program in Brazil, CNH Pai D'égua is benefiting 60,000 low-income people in 144 municipalities. In Bragança, about 500 licenses were delivered during the government agenda in the city.

General Director of Detran, Renata Coelho

"The CNH Pai D’égua represents an investment from the state government of over R$ 300 million. I thank the beneficiaries for their trust in our program, which has as its main objective to transform lives and fulfill dreams. This week we will be delivering more than a thousand CNH Pai D’égua licenses in the municipality of Abaetetuba," emphasized the General Director of Detran, Renata Coelho.

Created to insert the qualified into the job market, CNH Pai D'égua opens new fronts and possibilities for work. There are various possibilities, from doing freight, driving for companies and institutions, passing a public competition that requires a license, or simply working as a taxi driver and with delivery and passenger transport apps, these are some of the income generation options that the program provides, starting with the guarantee of the document.

"I’m emotional because it’s a personal achievement. I never imagined getting a driver's license, especially nowadays when the cost of a driver's license is quite high. Most people here really cannot afford to get a driver's license and never dreamed of getting one, right? And I’m emotional because I have two children. One is 5 and the other is 6, I am totally a homemaker," celebrated Karolyne Teixeira, 25, a resident of the Icuí neighborhood. Emotional, she shares how the process of getting her driver's license was.

"In the theoretical exam, when I passed, I left there crying because I was thinking, 'my God, I am not incapable, I am capable! I can do it!'. I learned that no one will do it for you, you know? And it may seem a bit silly, but when I passed the theoretical, then I passed the motorcycle test, and then I passed the car test, I said, 'my God, I can’t believe it, I did it'. And I was crying the whole time, getting emotional, because it means a lot to me. It’s more than just a document and it was indeed 100% free," she emphasized.

Without charging any costs to the beneficiary, the State Government's initiative guarantees the issuance to be completely free, as all expenses with exams, Detran fees, and driving school are covered by the State itself. The initiative has already reached the category of road workers and benefited atypical mothers.
