Integrated action by the Candiru Base seizes irregular goods in Baixo Amazonas
On a vessel in the Amazon River, tires and shock absorbers without an invoice were seized near the municipality of Óbidos

An integrated action under the "Protector of Borders and Boundaries" Operation, carried out by the Candiru River Base team, through the River Grouping in conjunction with the Civil and Military Police and the Federal Revenue, seized, on Friday (13), tires and shock absorbers without an invoice being transported on a vessel navigating the Amazon River, in front of Óbidos.
"The integrated inspection work from the River Bases has been fundamental in combating illicit activities, as in this case of seizing a large amount of goods without an invoice. Therefore, together with the Federal Revenue team, during an approach, the goods were retained so that the appropriate procedure could be carried out by the Federal Revenue. We emphasize that inspections are not only on vessels passing through the Candiru Base, but we are continuously conducting diligences, patrolling, and approaching these vessels in channels and rivers. Therefore, we have been more frequently successful in seizures, not only of drugs but also of other materials that illegally traffic through the rivers of the western region (of Pará)," said Colonel PM Neves, acting Secretary of Public Security.
Seizure
The seizure was carried out during the integrated inspection on a vessel named "Flor da Terra" coming from Manaus, heading to the city of Santarém. On board, 29 estimated tires and 8 boxes of shock absorbers were found, valued at R$ 83 thousand, coming from the Free Trade Zone of Manaus, all the goods were without fiscal documentation.
In light of the fact, the material was retained due to the non-payment of customs duties, according to the retention term of the Federal Revenue, which acted in the operation alongside security agents.
