Master Damasceno performs this Sunday, 15, at the Arraial de Todos os Santos
The people's square also hosts Boi Tinga, the toada group Etnias da Dança, and the folkloric group Os Pretinhos. The program starts at 6 PM.

Master Damasceno, who has dedicated over five decades to valuing the traditional manifestations of the Marajó archipelago in the state of Pará, is one of the attractions this Sunday, 15, at the Arraial de Todos os Santos in Belém, starting at 6 PM, at the headquarters of the Cultural Foundation of Pará (FCP), in the Centur building. Admission is free.
The show by Master Damasceno is part of the June festivities program promoted by the FCP until June 29. This Sunday, there will also be a presentation of masked ox, toadas, a folkloric group, and June birds on the stage of the Margarida Schivasappa theater.
The Master - Damasceno lost his sight at the age of 19 in a work accident. Since then, he has reinvented his life through art, becoming a reference in carimbó, toadas, oral poetry, and the creation of the Búfalo-Bumbá de Salvaterra — a June manifestation that blends popular theater, quilombola culture, and elements of the Amazonian nature. With over 400 original compositions and six recorded albums, he is now a symbol of resistance and the cultural strength of Northern Brazil. Master Damasceno will also be one of the honorees at the 28th Pan-Amazonian Book and Multivoices Fair, which will take place next August.
