The Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat for Social Assistance, Labor, Employment and Income (Seaster), officially launched the fourth edition of the 'Qualifica Pará' 2025 program this Friday (13), at the Hangar – Amazon Convention Center in Belém, which offers free courses for the qualification of the population in vulnerable situations. On this occasion, 1,740 students were certified.

By 2025, a total of 12,760 people will benefit from the program, which will offer 62 courses, divided into 638 classes, throughout the State, most of which will emphasize COP30, including English language courses, such as reverse logistics, bartender with basic English, hotel and inn receptionist with English, warehouse clerk, bio-jewelry artisan, housekeeper in hospitality with basic English, waiter and waitress with basic English, manicure and pedicure with basic English, tourist information agent with basic English, and others.

“This is another reinforcement in technical qualification, in workforce training. The State is experiencing a moment of economic growth, and we need to ensure that this growth represents jobs, and jobs for those who live here. For this, the workforce must be prepared, qualified, and suited to market needs. That is why we are working very assertively, whether through Seaster with Qualifica Pará or through Capacita COP30, so that we can expand these course offerings. We aim to end 2025 with 100,000 certificates distributed to those who want this opportunity, understanding that improving the curriculum and enhancing knowledge enables people in the competitive market, where presenting a robust resume is decisive for accessing employment and securing income,” emphasized Governor Helder Barbalho.

For cooking student Michele Gomes, the qualification came at a good time, as it will allow her to expand her menu and have greater income autonomy.

“I took the cooking course, and this course was very good for me, as it added to my knowledge because I already work a bit in the kitchen area, I already make various snacks and other foods, so it only served to enhance my knowledge, and now I can offer everything with more quality and different flavors,” said Michele Gomes.

“This moment is of utmost importance, as we work tirelessly to ensure that qualification reaches all those in need, in addition to generating more jobs and income. With COP30, which will take place in November this year in Belém, many will be able to take advantage of the moment to enter the market and gain their financial autonomy, given that most courses include the English language, which represents a huge advancement and development for our State,” emphasized Inocencio Gasparim, head of Seaster.

Investment - For the execution of the program, R$ 35 million was allocated, coming from a parliamentary amendment from Senator Beto Faro and Federal Deputy Dilvanda Faro, in partnership with the State Government.

Data - In 2025, Qualifica Pará reaches its fourth edition, as between the years 2021, 2022, and 2023, about 40,000 people were certified by Seaster, the program executor.

On this occasion, Federal Deputy Dilvanda Faro, State Deputy Elias Santiago, State Deputy Fabio Freitas, Vice Mayor of Acará Yuri Faro, State Deputy Iran Lima, and Belém Councilwoman Neia Marques were present.
