Ideflor-Bio holds a lecture with farmers from Anapu
Event held in partnership with the Anapu City Hall presented the Institute's activities in the state's forest chains and the Agroforestry Systems Project

The Institute for Forest Development and Biodiversity of Pará (Ideflor-Bio), through the Forest Chain Development Directorate (DDF), held a lecture with farmers from the city of Anapu, in southwestern Pará, in celebration of Environment Week. The initiative was in partnership with the Municipal Environment Secretary.
During the event, the state's forest chains and the Agroforestry Systems Project (PROSAF) were presented, which aims to promote sustainable development and improve the quality of life for farmers in the region.

According to agronomist and manager of Production and Support for Forest Productive Arrangements, Laura Dias, the action was essential to show farmers how PROSAF works and its benefits. “The project will benefit farmers in the Transamazon region, helping to improve their quality of life and promoting sustainable development in the area,” she stated.
She also explained that PROSAF offers a range of services to farmers, such as technical guidance, support for production diversification, strengthening rural communities, and encouraging the adoption of agroecological practices. “In addition, we seek to strengthen community organization and expand opportunities for producers,” she added.

Forest engineer and manager of Forest Technology at Ideflor-Bio, Cleberson Salomão, also emphasized the strategic role of farmers in environmental preservation. “Our main partner in the conservation and maintenance of forests is the rural producer. We need to bring them into this discussion, especially the producers from the Transamazon region, to build together sustainable strategies and nature preservation,” he highlighted.
The initiative is part of the actions of the Government of Pará to strengthen sustainable production, valuing the protagonism of rural communities and the commitment to environmental preservation.
