State transfers R$ 50 million from the Paraense Money in School Program to schools
For the third consecutive year, the Government of Pará guarantees funding for the autonomy of public state school management and infrastructure improvement

The Government of Pará, through the State Department of Education (Seduc), transferred, this Wednesday (11), about R$ 50 million from the Paraense Money in School Program (Prodep) to the state public school network. This is the first installment of 2025 transferred directly to the accounts of 693 eligible state schools, to improve school infrastructure, enhance the teaching-learning process and school harmony, in addition to supplementing students' meals.
“Prodep is essential to ensure that our schools are prepared to meet daily demands, respecting their particularities. Since 2023, the transfers have been constant, and this year we have increased the amounts and the reach of the subprograms. We remain united, dedicated to providing quality education, increasingly structured and with better resources,” said Rossieli Soares, Secretary of State for Education of Pará.

With the autonomy guaranteed by the program, schools have the freedom to apply resources to actions that meet their priorities. Among the possibilities for use are carrying out repairs and improvements in infrastructure, acquiring pedagogical and technological materials and equipment, implementing sustainable initiatives, air conditioning school spaces, and reinforcing food supply. The goal is to make the school environment more comfortable, efficient, and conducive to quality learning.
Subprogram ‘Food’ - In addition to the funding and capital amounts, in this first stage, 100% of the resources allocated to the ‘Food’ subprogram have already been paid, totaling R$ 8,686,578.75. This amount will allow schools to purchase food to supplement school meals. The measure directly benefits 391,728 students across the state, strengthening the provision of more adequate, safe, and quality school meals.
Strengthening education - Since 2023, the Government of Pará has been transforming the reality of public schools through Prodep. More than R$140 million have already been transferred to units across the state, improving the learning environment and valuing the participation of all in building quality public education. With the new transfer, the State reaches the mark of R$ 190 million transferred.

“It is a dream come true, not only for me as a principal but for the entire community. I have never seen a program like this in Pará. Prodep brought resources that managers, coordinators, and teachers have always wanted to develop projects in the school curriculum. With Prodep, our schools gained important support, with multimedia kits, laboratories, sustainability, and even air-conditioned classrooms, making lessons more enjoyable and motivating. The State provided this real and visible transformation,” says Elizabeth Evanovich, principal at the Oneide Souza Tavares State School.
Conditions - The transfer of funds allocated to the Program is conditioned on the presentation of the Financial Application Plan (PAF), which must be prepared by the executing units, represented by the School Councils, after extensive listening and participation from the school community of the state public school network.
Joining the Program - Adherence is made at the first access of the School Council to the Decentralized School Management System (SGED) and acceptance of the Adherence Term.
