Cosanpa promotes dialogue on sanitation and solid waste management
The event was part of the programming commemorating Green June, the month of the environment
The responsibility of companies in solid waste management and the positive impacts of this activity were some of the themes of the second edition of "Dialogues on Sanitation," held this Friday (06) by the Sanitation Company of Pará (Cosanpa).
The event is part of a series of activities planned by Cosanpa to celebrate "Green June," through the integration between the Company and the school community in social debate and the promotion of environmental preservation actions.
The sanitary and environmental engineer Rogério Aguiar presented the theme at the event. Working at the State Department of Public Works (Seop), Rogério emphasizes that discussions about the environment are global, but practical changes can be made through individual or collective actions in companies or in society.
"Today, there is a whole regulation that directs the actions of companies regarding solid waste management, but it needs to be part of people's daily lives. Meetings like this are essential for the exchange of experiences between the Company and society," explains Rogério.
Patrícia Oliveira, a professor at the Technological Institute of the State of Pará (ITEP), attended the lecture alongside students from the Occupational Safety, Administration, and Radiology courses. For her, regardless of the area of expertise or level of education, the topic is transversal along with environmental education. "Some topics covered in our courses and events were also presented here. This shows that the subject is important for the professional and social training process of these students," says Patrícia Oliveira.
In addition to the "Dialogues on Sanitation," other activities are scheduled for "Green June" at Cosanpa, including visits to schools for lectures, construction of vertical gardens, and planting seedlings, visits to the Una Sewage Treatment Station and the Bolonha Complex, which is the main center for capturing and treating water distributed to over 1.5 million residents of Belém and Ananindeua.
Water Run - To conclude Green June, Cosanpa will hold the Water Run on the 29th at the Utinga State Park "Camillo Vianna." With walking (4km) and running (8km) modalities, the event is open for registration until June 25, through the website www.pscronos.com.br, at a cost of R$ 60.00.
Registrations guarantee the receipt of the "Athlete Kit," which includes an official shirt with UVA and UVB protection, a bib number, a visor, a timing chip, a participation medal for those who complete the course, and a trophy for the winners of the race.
The concentration for the run and walk will be at 5 am at Utinga Park, in front of Ideflor-Bio. The race will start at 6 am, followed by the walk. Throughout the event, there will be hydration points, and at the finish line, a structure will be set up for the mineral replenishment of the runners.
