The Government of Pará, through the State Department of Social Assistance, Labor, Employment and Income (Seaster), was on Wednesday (04) in the Cremação neighborhood, in Belém, where a fire affected about seven residences.

The work of Seaster includes assessing immediate needs and awaits the socioeconomic report from the Municipal Department of Social Assistance, so that, subsequently, the payment of an eventual benefit can be made to the affected families.

"The Government of Pará remains committed to the population that needs it most. And this assistance is a way to ensure that families affected by emergency situations have support to start over. Our role is to stand by these people and offer adequate conditions for everyone to overcome difficulties," emphasized Inocencio Gasparim, head of Seaster.

Benefit - The Eventual Benefit is paid for a period of three months, in the amount of one minimum wage, and aims to support families going through temporary difficulties.

In 2024, the Government of Pará, through Seaster, allocated more than R$ 238,000.00 in benefits to families affected by disasters in the State, of which more than R$ 74,000 were allocated solely to beneficiaries residing in the capital of Pará.
