Hemopa and Hospital de Clínicas hold blood donation campaign in Belém
Action held at the HC outpatient clinic promotes engagement of staff, students, and patients in favor of voluntary blood donation

The Pará Hemotherapy and Hematology Center Foundation (Hemopa) held a blood donation campaign on Tuesday (3) at the Medical Outpatient Clinic of the Gaspar Vianna Hospital Foundation (HC) in Belém. The main objective of the initiative was to reinforce the stocks of the blood center and encourage voluntary donation among staff, patients, students, and the community at large.
The structure of the campaign was organized within the HC outpatient clinic, in a room specially prepared to ensure comfort and safety for donors. The action was the result of a partnership between the two state institutions, aimed at strengthening social responsibility and supporting transfusion assistance throughout the state of Pará.

For social worker Betânia Mourão, from the Donor Recruitment Management (GECAD) of Hemopa, the campaign symbolized the consolidation of a strategic partnership between the institutions.
"It was the second campaign in the new outpatient clinic, a differentiated service that HC offers to society. The internal mobilization was very positive, with the engagement of the teams, the transfusion agency, and the students who pass through the institution. It was a day of gratitude, as this action helped keep the stocks replenished and reinforced the hospital's social commitment," she emphasized.
Nurse Milene Tyll, technical manager of the outpatient clinic and also a university professor, emphasized the role of education in building a culture of solidarity.

"I always mobilize my students because I believe that donating blood is an act of love. They embrace the cause, bringing friends and family. Doing good without looking at whom is something grand, and these campaigns are fundamental for society," she stated.
Psychologist Aline Rodrigues, president of the Blood Collection Committee at HC, also stressed the relevance of the campaign.

"We were at our second campaign in the outpatient clinic and reinforced the importance of donation to ensure Hemopa's stocks and assistance to our hospitalized patients," she said.

Among the participants of the campaign was nursing student Ana Rita, a donor for a year and a half, who took the opportunity to encourage others. "One single bag can save up to four lives. Many people depend on this. If you can, donate blood," she reinforced.
