In second place was the Muaná delegation, with 30 points, and in third place Soure, totaling 28 points. The Efficiency Trophy awards the municipality that accumulates the most points in the competition. The event brought together about 509 athletes, six municipalities, and five modalities.

The Joapa is promoted by the Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Sports and Leisure (Seel). The matches were held at the Ricardo Boulhosa and Dr. Romeu Ferreira dos Santos gyms, the Parish Court of Our Lady of Conception, at the Arena da Estrada, and in the auditorium of Hotel Reponta, with the table tennis match.

The Seel secretary, Cássio Andrade, highlighted the success of the competition in Ponta de Pedras. “The population embraced the Pará Open Games in the municipality! We witnessed packed gyms, with the excitement and emotion of the fans, to support their representatives in the competing modalities. We, from the Government, through Seel, want to congratulate everyone involved in this great sporting event of the State of Pará. The Joapa boosts the local economy, culture, promotion, and social integration. So, we can only thank the athletes for shining and giving their all to achieve the long-desired spot in the state phase,” said the secretary.

A tough game from start to finish and we were crowned with the gold medal and the spot for the state phase. I would also like to thank the important support from the Government of Pará, bringing tourism to our city as well, bringing people from other places to know our municipality, the little princess of Marajó,” said the goalkeeper of Ponta de Pedras, Igor Luís.
