Conversation circle at Ideflor-Bio about COP 30 discusses sustainable solutions for the future
The activity included lectures that addressed the themes of Agroforestry Systems (SAFs), agroecology, and food security

A conversation circle took place on Wednesday (28), in the context of the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change, COP 30, focused on sustainable solutions for the future. The activity was developed by the Forest Chain Development Directorate (DDF) of the Institute for Forest Development and Biodiversity (Ideflor-Bio), and included lectures that addressed the themes of Agroforestry Systems (SAFs), agroecology, and food security.
“The conversation circle was a fundamental opportunity to strengthen the technical dialogue on sustainable practices that are already part of our reality. Discussing Agroforestry Systems, agroecology, and food security in the context of COP 30 reinforces Pará's strategic role in building a development model that respects the environment and values local knowledge,” emphasized the head of DDF, Vicente Neto.
Improvement - According to agronomist and manager of Production and Support for Forest Productive Arrangements, Laura Dias, the action was important to broaden knowledge about the activities developed in DDF. “We brought in two people who have been researching for years, and from their expertise, they contributed to our technical knowledge,” she pointed out.
Laura Dias also highlighted that these spaces, combined with agroecology, contribute to environmental recovery. “These SAFs, when combined with agroecology, bring environmental sustainability, where these spaces interact with the environment and allow for a diversification of fauna and flora,” she added.

The manager of Forest Technology, Cleberson Salomão, said that the conversation circle provided an opportunity to reinforce knowledge about the environment. “In addition to reinforcing our knowledge about the environment, this action came to discuss these topics, which are important for the state and for us, on the eve of COP 30,” he stated.
