Inspection intensifies the fight against irregularities and recovers vehicles in Itaituba

The State Department of Transit (Detran) carried out an inspection action on Sunday (25) on Avenida Getúlio Vargas, near the Matriz Church, in the municipality of Itaituba, southwestern Pará. During the blitz, the team of agents identified a group of young people riding motorcycles without license plates, committing various traffic violations.
After completing the inspection at the location, the agents moved to the Balsa Port, where they saw the motorcycles parked, waiting to cross the Tapajós River. At the time of the approach, some drivers did not present themselves, and given the violations already identified, the agents carried out the appropriate administrative procedures.
The Detran traffic inspection agent, Oclenio Fernandes de Lima, highlighted the importance of the action and the procedures adopted. "As part of the protocol, the motorcycles were removed and sent to the Police Station for legal procedures. During the system analysis, it was found that one of the motorcycles had a theft record, being returned to the owner after the legal proceedings," the agent informed.
This is the second vehicle recovered in less than a week in the municipality. Last Sunday (18), another stolen motorcycle was also located and returned to its owner, reinforcing Detran's effective action against crime and in the recovery of vehicles.
The driver of one of the vehicles approached in the operation on the 25th was not identified, as he fled the scene at the time of the approach.
Detran emphasizes the importance of inspections to ensure road safety, curb irregularities, and combat the circulation of vehicles in illegal situations, preserving the integrity of all road users.
