The Military Police of Pará has reinforced its strategic operations with the restructuring and consolidation of the Regional Policing Commands II (CPR II), VI (CPR VI), and XIV (CPR XIV), during a ceremony held last Thursday (22). The three commands operate in more than 20 municipalities in the southeast and northeast regions of the state and will focus on increasing efficiency in operational management and intensifying police presence in areas with higher demand for public safety.

Based in Marabá, CPR II is under the command of Colonel Gledson, who coordinates ordinary and extraordinary policing in twelve municipalities in southeastern Pará, through the following operational units: 4th BPM (Marabá, Nova Ipixuna, São Geraldo do Araguaia, Brejo Grande do Araguaia, São João do Araguaia, São Domingos do Araguaia, Palestina do Pará, and Piçarra); 34th BPM (Núcleo Cidade Nova, in Marabá); 11th CIPM (Rondon do Pará, Abel Figueiredo, and Bom Jesus do Tocantins); and 24th CIPM (Itupiranga).

Meanwhile, CPR VI, based in Paragominas and commanded by Colonel Batista, will have the mission of planning, supervising, and measuring the results of policing actions carried out in the cities of Paragominas, Aurora do Pará, Ipixuna do Pará, Mãe do Rio, Dom Eliseu, and the surrounding area. The area is covered by the units of the 19th BPM and the 51st BPM.

In the municipality of Parauapebas, Colonel Dayvid leads CPR XIV, responsible for policing in the 16th Integrated Public Safety Region (RISP), covering Canaã dos Carajás, Curionópolis, Parauapebas, and Eldorado do Carajás. The command includes the 23rd BPM (Parauapebas), the 25th CIPM (Eldorado do Carajás), and the 10th Highlighted Platoon, linked to the 40th BPM, which will be activated in Curionópolis.

The commander-general of the Military Police, Colonel Dilson Júnior, emphasized the importance of regionalized coordination to strengthen policing in strategic areas of the state:

"With the consolidation of CPRs II, VI, and XIV, we are enhancing our operational management model, making the actions of the Military Police more agile, efficient, and closer to the communities. The goal is to provide more security, based on strategic planning, police intelligence, and effective presence where citizens need it most," said the commander.

The reorganization of the commands is part of the ongoing effort of the Military Police of Pará to meet the specificities of each region, combating crime with qualified presence and strengthening prevention and response actions in urban and rural areas.
