The Military Police of Pará carried out two significant drug seizures this week during Operation Maximum Load, which continues until May 31 throughout the area of the Regional Police Command I (CPR-I) in the western part of the state.

In Terra Santa, a squad from the 41st Military Police Battalion (BPM) seized six kilograms of a substance similar to marijuana, transported by a man known as "Cabeludo" on a boat traveling between the municipalities of Terra Santa and Santarém. The suspect was approached after displaying suspicious behavior during a routine inspection.

With the man's consent, the police conducted a detailed search of his luggage, finding six bricks of the drug. He was arrested in the act for drug trafficking and was taken to the Civil Police Station of Terra Santa, along with the substance and his belongings, for legal procedures.

According to the commander of the 41st BPM, Major Loris Figueira, the operation reinforces the fight against trafficking in the region. "We are acting firmly and strategically during Operation Maximum Load to prevent drugs from circulating in our communities. This seizure is the result of the work and constant attention of our police officers," said the official.

On the same date, a joint action by the 35th BPM, with support from the Intelligence Center of CPR-I and the Federal Highway Police (PRF), resulted in another seizure on PA-370 (Curuá-Una/Baturité), in the Urumari region, in Santarém. The police intercepted an intercity bus and, after analyzing information and checking images from the vehicle's internal circuit, located a passenger carrying a navy blue backpack containing eight bricks of skunk, totaling approximately 9 kilograms of the drug.

The woman was detained and taken to the 16th Urban Police Section for arrest in the act.

Operation Maximum Load continues with ostensive actions and inspections at various points in the region, focusing on reinforcing public security, combating drug trafficking, and preventing crime, ensuring tranquility for the local population.
