Governance School awards public servants in the 5th edition of 'Inova Servidor'
The event recognizes and values innovative ideas from public servants that can transform different sectors, such as technology, health, education, and the routine of public administration.
In the last three days, the Government of the State of Pará, through the Public Governance School of the State of Pará (EGPA), held the 5th Inova Servidor Award at the auditorium of the Institute of Social Security and Protection of the State of Pará (IGEPPS). The grand final took place this Friday (16).
This year, with the theme "Innovation as an alternative to contemporary challenges in Public Service," 20 projects were presented, divided into the categories of Service and Process, with public servants from different agencies accompanied by their teams and supporters. This recognition of innovative projects strengthens the culture of innovation in the public sector, promoting more transparent, agile, and efficient management. Furthermore, it encourages public servants to actively engage in the pursuit of continuous improvements, contributing to public management and an administration that is closer to the needs of society.
Winner in the Service category, "School Kitchen - Full Use of Food Course - Citizenship on the Plate," represented by Raimundo Santos, President of the Central Supply of Pará (CEASA), the project emerged after a series of initiatives within CEASA to combat food waste. It involves directing waste for composting, utilizing food that was previously discarded but is still fit for consumption to create baskets for delivery to people in vulnerable situations.
"So, from this, the School Kitchen project emerged, which today trains around 500 people every month in our Gastronomy and Citizenship courses," says the president.
Regarding participation in the Inova Servidor Award, the event is a way to showcase the reach of the project that started in 2023.
"It is important to talk about this no-waste policy and to use everything, thus combating hunger, and our expectation is that the project continues to grow," concludes Raimundo.
Winner in the Process category, the project "Açaí Platform - AI-Assisted Corporate Applications," represented by Leda Monteiro, Secretary of Information Technology of the Court of Accounts of the State of Pará (TCE), was presented by Patrick Alves, coordinator.
"When chat GPT emerged, which practically exploded AI in the world, in Brazil and globally, at the same time, the court began to be concerned with artificial intelligence solutions to assist in external control," explains the secretary.
The Açaí platform brings together a set of artificial intelligence solutions for external control activities.
According to Helvio Arruda, general director of EGPA, Inova Servidor is a successful project of the Government of the State of Pará.
"The Inova Servidor Award recognizes the good practices of public servants in the state of Pará, in the categories of service and process," says the general director.
This year, the prizes for first place were R$ 5,000.00, second R$ 4,000.00, and third R$ 3,000.00 in each category (Service and Process). The finalists also received a trophy and certificate.
