37th International Music Festival of Pará Brings Together Talents in Belém
The festival will hold free concerts with invited musicians from Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, São Paulo, and Germany

The 37th edition of the International Music Festival of Pará (Fimupa), organized by the Government of Pará through the Carlos Gomes Foundation (FCG), has a set date. The festival will take place from June 1 to June 5 at Theatro da Paz, Igreja de Santo Alexandre, and Sala Ettore Bosio - traditional cultural venues in the city. This year's XXXVII Fimupa will promote seventeen concerts featuring musicians from various locations, as well as artistic groups from the Carlos Gomes State Institute. The concerts at Theatro da Paz will be available with the donation of 1kg of non-perishable food to be delivered on the day of the concert, while entry to the other venues will be free.
The International Music Festival of Pará was created 37 years ago and aims to provide an exchange of experiences among musicians from different parts of Brazil and the world, as well as promote a meeting between classical music and the Pará audience. This year, the event's theme is "IECG: 130 Years of Music Education in the Amazon," in celebration of the 130th anniversary of the Carlos Gomes State Institute, which occurred on February 24.
The Fimupa program will feature performances by musicians from the institution and artists from other states, as well as musical groups from Belém and the surrounding region (the attractions are still being confirmed). According to Joel Praseres Costa, the event organizer, "the invited musicians, in addition to participating in the artistic program, will also hold masterclasses for students of the Carlos Gomes State Institute - IECG and external students who register for the free classes."

News – Aiming to promote music education and exchange with invited musicians, students, and the external public, this edition of Fimupa will hold for the first time, within the pedagogical program, the II Meeting of Recorders and the Guitar Meeting of the Carlos Gomes State Institute.
"This year we have organized a program with several educational opportunities for music students, as in 2025 we celebrate the 130th anniversary of our music school, and there is nothing more special than providing students with experiences with renowned teachers in the field, reinforcing our commitment to music education in the state, as the activities are intended for students of the institution and external students," assures Joel.
Information and class schedules will be announced soon on the website www.fcg.pa.gov.br and the official social media of the Carlos Gomes Foundation.
