Emater receives vehicles from the Government of Pará and signs a cooperation agreement with the Municipality of Benevides
The initiative aims to strengthen technical assistance actions and expand support for rural families served by Emater in the state
On the morning of this Tuesday (13), the governor of Pará, Helder Barbalho, delivered new vehicles to the State Technical Assistance and Rural Extension Company of Pará (Emater). On this occasion, a Technical Cooperation Agreement was signed between Emater and the Municipal Government of Benevides, aimed at addressing the actions developed by the municipality of Benevides and Emater.
The ceremony was held at the Government Palace in Belém and was attended by State Deputy Josué Paiva, representatives from Emater, and the municipal management of Benevides.
The head of the state executive informed that Technical Assistance is one of the strategies to increase rural production in the state. "It is support, it is assistance, it is qualification to produce well throughout our state, and this is a vocation of Pará, a special look at the small producer, at family farming."
The president of Emater, Joniel Abreu, informed that these vehicles will serve the municipalities of the State of Pará, where EMATER has operational offices, with offices in all 144 municipalities.
Cars were delivered for the following offices: Central, Medium Amazonas Regional Office, Novo Repartimento Local Office, Canaã dos Carajás Local Office, São Félix do Xingu Local Office, Conceição do Araguaia Regional Office, Aurora Local Office, Paragominas Local Office, Ulianópolis Local Office, Tucumã Local Office, Ourilândia do Norte Local Office, Água Azul do Norte Local Office, Castanhal Local Office, Inhangapi Local Office, Santa Izabel Local Office, Santo Antônio do Tauá Local Office, Breves Local Office, Portel Local Office, Rurópolis Local Office, Trairão Local Office, Altamira Local Office, Brasil Novo Local Office, Capanema Local Office, Nova Timboteua Local Office, Peixe-Boi Local Office, Salinópolis Local Office, Abaetetuba Local Office, Igarapé-Miri Local Office, Santarém Regional Office, Parauapebas Local Office, Marabá Local Office, Breu Branco Local Office, São Domingos do Araguaia Local Office, Itupiranga Local Office, and Marituba Local Office.
The partnership between Emater and the Municipality of Benevides aims to advance technical assistance and rural extension for farmers and producers, to ensure continuous improvements in agricultural production and local economic development. It also seeks to promote impactful actions to mitigate climate change in the Amazon, especially in the metropolitan region. Increasing the delivery of CAR and CAF from the municipality in various specific actions to be developed.
The initiative aims to strengthen technical assistance actions and expand support for rural families served by Emater in the state. The partnership with the municipality of Benevides seeks to integrate efforts for the development of public policies aimed at family farming.
