In honor of World Play Day, celebrated on May 28, the Carmen Sousa Library, located at Rua Professor Nelson Ribeiro, 287, in the Telégrafo neighborhood of Belém, is holding two Children's Workshops for Creating Toys with Recyclable Materials. The activities are scheduled for May 14 and 21, always at 3 PM, with free access to the public.

In the workshop "Making Fun Characters," scheduled for May 14, participants will learn to use milk cartons to create various characters, such as Saci, Emília, Garfield, Little Prince, and characters from the Minecraft universe.

On May 21, Max Saraiva, an employee of the Pará Cultural Foundation, will conduct the workshop "Creating Toys with Recyclable Materials." The proposal is to encourage children's imagination through the creation of board games and other games that can be played in pairs or groups.

The activities in honor of World Play Day began this Friday (10) with the screening of the movie Toy Story, as part of the CineBook project. The programming concludes with the "Reading Goes and Comes," which promotes literary scavenger hunts and educational games aimed at publicizing the library space and encouraging the reading habit, especially among children.
