Women hospitalized at the Metropolitan Hospital participate in a craft workshop
The project aims to humanize the hospitalization period, using playful and therapeutic activities to alleviate sensations brought by hospitalization

Patients hospitalized at the Metropolitan Emergency Hospital (HMUE), located in Ananindeua, in the metropolitan region of Belém, participated this Friday, the 9th, in a craft workshop supervised by health professionals from the unit.
The action "Caring with Affection" was conceived by the Hospital's Hospital Class, in partnership with the Humanization Committee. On this occasion, several women participated in the production and personalization of bags made from reusable materials.
Roberta Cardins, president of the Committee, explains that the activity, in addition to providing an environment for exchange and relaxation, serves to alleviate the fear of hospitalization.

"Many patients face loneliness and fear of the hospital environment during the time they need to undergo treatment. Offering activities that bring comfort and connection is essential for a more peaceful and humane recovery," she said.
Eduarda Aylla, 20 years old, came from the city of Tailândia, in the Tocantins region, to accompany her daughter's treatment at the Hospital. Excited about the workshop, she highlighted how the activity brings relief to the hospital routine.
"It was wonderful to be able to step away from the rhythm of just staying in bed. My daughter had fun and I also distracted myself. These initiatives make all the difference for those who spend days in the hospital. The entire team deserves congratulations!" she celebrated.

Coming from Ipixuna do Pará, on the Rio Capim, Franciele Pereira, 40 years old, also accompanies her daughter and appreciates the participation. "It was very emotional. These moments of relaxation are like a hug for the heart, even if it's just for a little while. Care is not only for physical health but also for psychological health," she said.
Managed by the National Institute for Social and Human Development (INDSH), the Metropolitan Hospital belongs to the public health network of Pará and serves as a reference in the care of medium and high complexity traumas.
