In order to improve the quality of education in state schools, the State Secretary of Education (Seduc) has promoted the Caravana Saeb 2025, a training aimed at the leadership of the Regional Education Directorates (DREs) and management teams of state schools. This time, the initiative was held in the municipality of Castanhal, focused on the qualification of education professionals, with an emphasis on preparation for the Basic Education Assessment System (Saeb) 2025, aiming to improve the academic performance of students. A total of 95 professionals from the DRE of Castanhal were present.

“I can talk about some external issues, but the essence of discovery and construction is among them. The challenge of each management team is similar to that of others from different schools. By listening to and sharing successful experiences, we can adapt solutions to each reality and minimize their own challenges. So, I thank each principal and vice-principal who traveled from their municipality to be here, sharing this moment, which I believe is of great value. We are here to listen, learn, and contribute with some idea that can improve what is already being done,” highlights Júlio Meireles, Deputy Secretary of Basic Education at Seduc.

The program includes dynamics such as “Get Connected to the Review,” in addition to data analysis and experience reports. During the event, participants discuss and define concrete actions for improving academic results in their respective schools, focusing on local needs.

Remedial classes for preparing for the Saeb exam play a crucial role in the learning process of students. They provide a valuable opportunity to review content, clarify doubts, and reinforce fundamental concepts, providing a solid foundation to face the exam with more confidence.

“We have implemented several significant actions that have improved our students' learning. One of the most successful practices was the project developed with the Federal University of Pará, which involved math students creating games and playful activities aligned with Saeb criteria. This project resulted in our math fair, which is already in its second edition. With this initiative, our Ideb rose from 3.6 to 4.9 in Elementary Education,” says Adriana Lira, principal at the Maria Mercês Conor State School in Castanhal.

“The school's actions are focused on the active participation of students in remedial classes, held on Saturdays, with the fundamental support of parents. With the help of the government and a specialized teacher, the school has improved the quality of education and learning rates. Previously without a reference in Ideb, today the school has this indicator, the result of a partnership between the community, families, teachers, and government support, which has contributed to progress in approval rates and the achievement of educational goals,” says Paulo Henrique Barbosa, principal at the Professor Raimunda Sena da Silva State School in Curuçá.

The caravan has already traveled through several DREs in the State, passing through the municipalities of Santa Izabel, Bragança, and Capanema, and after its stop in Castanhal, it will head to the city of Abaetetuba next Friday (9).

“It is a great joy to welcome fellow principals to our newly inaugurated school. The goal is to welcome them and, with the Caravana Seduc Saeb 2025, prepare to mobilize students and guide teachers in the best way, aiming to improve results in Saeb,” said Eliana Balestreri, principal of the Lameira Bittencourt State School.

The initiative involves a work of active listening, dialogue, and reflection, analyzing the educational indicators of the network and schools, with the aim of identifying the specificities of each territory and implementing improvement strategies for the learning process.

The Caravana Saeb 2025 reinforces the State Government's commitment to public education, providing tools and training for school leaders, aiming to ensure quality education for all students in the state network.
