Plates ending in 04, 34, 43, and 63 will have their licensing expired this May, warns Detran

Payment must be made within the deadline set in the 2025 calendar

Vehicle owners should be aware that in May, several plates will have their annual licensing expired. The State Department of Transit (Detran) emphasizes that payment for vehicles with plates ending in 04, 34, 43, and 63 must be made within the deadline set in the 2025 calendar. Licensing is a mandatory tax that certifies the vehicle's regularity and must be paid annually by all owners.

To make the payment, drivers must access the site of Detran and, in the “Vehicles – Annual Licensing” tab, provide the plate number, Renavam, and the owner's CPF to issue the State Collection Document (DAE). Payment can be made at affiliated banks – Banco do Brasil, Banpará, Banco da Amazônia, Bradesco, Itaú, and Santander – until the due date. The DAE can also be obtained in person at Detran's headquarters, at advanced posts, and Ciretrans.

Drivers with outstanding licensing debts from previous years will be able to regularize their situation with the option of installment payments via credit card. Payment will only be processed after all pending issues related to the vehicle are settled, including fines from other enforcement agencies, “therefore, it is important for owners to check for any pending issues before the due date,” advises the Detran Vehicle Registration Coordinator, Enrique Barbosa.

After settling the licensing, the Electronic Vehicle Registration and Licensing Certificate (CRLV-e) will be available for download and printing on the site of Detran, in the “Issuance of CRLV-e” tab, and in the Digital Traffic Wallet app.

Detran emphasizes the importance of owners being attentive to due dates to avoid penalties. “Drivers who circulate with overdue licensing will be subject to fines and points on their National Driver's License (CNH), in addition to the vehicle being retained by enforcement agencies,” highlights Enrique.

The payment calendar for licensing in 2025 runs until November. For more information, drivers can access the site of Detran or seek in-person assistance at one of the agency's units.
