With the support of the Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Sports and Leisure (Seel), the 1st Stage of the Paraense Skate Street Circuit brought together in Salinópolis, northeastern Pará, more than 85 athletes from various regions of the State on Sunday (4). The competition featured contests in five categories, from children to adults, revealing skateboarding talents in Pará. The event was partnered with the Paraense Skate Federation (FPSK). The Circuit continues in Marabá and will have its final stage in Belém.

The event took place at the skate park of the Jair Maia dos Santos Complex - a project built by the Government of Pará specifically to host major competitions.

The Paraense Skate Street Circuit is one of the main showcases for local skateboarders aiming for the national scene. The competition also highlights the importance of public investment in sports projects that promote inclusion, citizenship, and opportunities.

Commitment - The State Secretary of Sports and Leisure, Cássio Andrade, stated that the modern structure, suitable for national standards, reinforces the State's commitment to the development of sports and the creation of spaces that encourage sports practice among young people.

"It is very gratifying to see so many talents gathered and to know that we are encouraging the growth of skateboarding in our State, through projects that the Government has undertaken, where today we can enable the realization of competitions, so that these spaces become stages for events that encourage the careers of our Pará skateboard athletes," said the head of Seel.

Secretary Cássio Andrade emphasized the State's support for sports events

The stage marked the beginning of the competition, which will pass through Marabá, in the southeastern region, and Belém, forming a circuit that aims to qualify the best Pará skateboarders for the Brazilian Skate Championship.

Skate show - The president of the Paraense Skate Federation, Augusto Formiga, highlighted the initiative as an important step for strengthening the sport in the region and valuing local athletes. "A great event held by the Federation, with the support of the State Government, through Seel, bringing the first stage to Salinópolis. A skate show, a youth show. We can only thank everyone involved for this wonderful event," said the president of the Federation.

The athlete Maria Vitória, better known as Pimentinha, expressed that she was "very happy to be participating. The event is beautiful! I want to achieve the necessary points for qualification for the Brazilian Championship, and I want to be like Rayssa Leal."

Rayssa Leal is the Olympic silver medalist in Skateboarding at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo (Japan), being the youngest Brazilian Olympic medalist. In 2024, she won bronze at the Olympic Games in Paris (France). She is also a Pan American champion, winning the gold medal in the Skate Street category at the 2023 Pan American Games held in Santiago (Chile) - the first gold medal for the Brazilian delegation in this edition of the Pan.

Rayssa has won gold medals at the X Games twice and is a world champion at the World Skate Games in 2022 and 2024. She is the first and only three-time world champion of the Street League Skateboarding.
