Until May 5th, there are discounts on IPVA for vehicles with license plate endings 75 to 95

Sefa highlights that discounts apply to those without traffic fines

Motor vehicle owners have until May 5th, next Monday, to obtain discounts of up to 15% on the early payment of the Tax on the Ownership of Motor Vehicles (IPVA) for license plate endings 75 to 95.

The discounts apply to those without traffic fines and are 15% of the tax amount for those who have been fine-free for two years; 10% for those who did not receive fines last year, and 5% discount in other situations.

There are three payment options for IPVA in Pará: early payment in a single installment with a discount; installment payment in up to three installments before the due date, without discount; or full payment on the date of annual licensing at the Department of Transit (Detran). After the licensing date, payment will incur fines and interest.

To check the tax amount and issue the State Collection Document (DAE), the vehicle owner must access the website of the State Department of Finance, www.sefa.pa.gov.br.

The DAE payment can be made via PIX or using the barcode. In this case, use the authorized banking network (Banpará, Basa, Bradesco, Banco do Brasil, Santander, Itaú, and CEF) and lottery houses.

The IPVA rate is 2.5% for automobiles, pickup trucks, and recreational or sports watercraft not intended for commercial activity; 1% for buses, minibuses, trucks, tractors, motorcycles, and similar vehicles. Vehicles over 15 years old are exempt. Boats and aircraft must pay the IPVA by June 30th.

For more information, visit the Sefa website, call the call center at 0800-725-5533, from 8 AM to 6 PM, Monday to Friday; or chat on the chat on the Department of Finance website.
