Exhibition 'Travessia' opens for visitation at the Theodoro Braga Gallery
The exhibition remains open to the public until July 4th. The Theodoro Braga Gallery is located at the headquarters of the Pará Cultural Foundation.

The Theodoro Braga Gallery, located in the basement of the Pará Cultural Foundation (FCP), opens this Wednesday (04/30) the exhibition 'Travessia', curated by artist Emily Guimarães. The show is part of the 'Collection in Motion' project and brings together works from ten invited artists, both emerging and established.
According to the curator, the exhibition proposes a reflection on the contemporary world: "The proposal is to play with the abstract, with texture, letting the viewer's imagination go far and think about the role of women in institutions. It is very important for us women to be able to access these spaces," says Emily.
The exhibition features works in various languages, such as woodcut, photography, and audiovisual. Some of the participating artists have previously been part of the 'Origens' show, held at the Benedito Nunes Gallery, also of FCP, and now return with unpublished works. "This year, we developed a new proposal, which also composes the collection," adds the curator.

Claudinha Pinheiro, director of Cultural Interaction at FCP, highlights the gallery's commitment to valuing new talents: "This exhibition, which is part of the Collection in Motion project, features Emily's work, who is this emerging artist curating, and the work of the Gallery coordinator, which has this welcoming perspective, aiming to value the view of women in visual arts."
The exhibition also marks the approach of the launch of the Branco de Melo Notice, scheduled for next week. "The Gallery is on the verge of launching the next Branco de Melo notice, I believe it will be released next week, the president of the Foundation is very sensitive to this issue, a great interest of his, which is to make art circulate in all municipalities," concludes Claudinha.
