ADEPARÁ warns of the deadline for re-registration of veterinarians in the Brucellosis Program
Re-registration is mandatory, and veterinarians who do not update their information may have their registrations suspended.

The deadline for the registration update of registered and qualified veterinarians in the Brucellosis Control and Eradication Program (PCEBT), executed throughout the state of Pará by the Agricultural Defense Agency of the State of Pará (ADEPARÁ), ends this Wednesday, the 30th. The annual re-registration campaign for professionals started in March and will not be extended.

Re-registration is mandatory, and veterinarians who do not update their information may have their registrations suspended.
According to state agricultural inspector George Santos, from the Ruminant Health Management, to which the program is linked, so far 171 professionals have responded to the call and regularized their registration with the Agency. “We will officially notify those who have not complied and wait for a period of 30 days for them to respond and regularize their situation with the program. After that, those who do not update their information will be individually canceled,” he informed.
Currently, the Defense Agency has 286 registered veterinarians and 212 qualified in the Program. At the end of the re-registration, an updated list of registered and qualified veterinarians will be published on the ADEPARÁ website, and only these veterinarians will be able to operate in the program throughout the state.
The vaccination of female cattle and buffaloes against brucellosis is the responsibility of the veterinarians registered in the program, hence the need to update the professionals' registrations. The performance of tests against brucellosis and animal tuberculosis is the responsibility of veterinarians qualified with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa).

Importance of updating the registration - The registration update is important so that the data of the veterinarians working in the program is always current. This annual list of registered and qualified professionals is available to rural producers, who can access the database and find a registered or qualified professional to vaccinate heifers against brucellosis or conduct tests for brucellosis and tuberculosis in the herd.
The official database also serves to support the control of vaccine and input sales related to the program. “It is important to have this update so that we always have the program working in a serious, responsible, and reliable manner, promoting the health of the Pará herd,” emphasized the state agricultural inspector.

To update their information, professionals must visit the website, click on the campaign banner, and access the form provided for completion and submission to the program. In addition to personal data, it is necessary to include information about the vaccination agents, individuals trained to carry out vaccinations against brucellosis in the municipalities, who are under the responsibility of the veterinarian registered in the program. Upon completing the form, a message will be displayed indicating that the update has been completed and the form has been submitted.
The Regional Council of Veterinary Medicine (CRMV-PA) reinforces the Agency's alert regarding the end of the deadline this Wednesday, April 30. Regularization not only ensures the continuity of the veterinarians' work in the program, which is essential for the health of the Pará herd and public health, but also demonstrates the veterinary profession's commitment to good practices and agricultural defense in the state. “We ask our colleagues who have not yet completed the re-registration to do so as soon as possible, thus avoiding the suspension of their registrations and ensuring their active participation in this important program,” said veterinarian Adriele Cardoso, who is part of the Council's board.

Program - The State Program for the Control and Eradication of Brucellosis and Animal Tuberculosis (PECEBT) was created to reduce the negative impact of these zoonoses on animal health, as well as to promote sustainable livestock farming in Pará. The goal is to reduce the prevalence and incidence of brucellosis and tuberculosis by vaccinating heifers against brucellosis in the age range of 03 to 08 months, conducting surveillance, and certifying properties.

Vaccination against Brucellosis can only be carried out under the responsibility of veterinarians registered with ADEPARÁ, necessitating the update of the professionals' registrations. For conducting tests against brucellosis and animal tuberculosis, the activity is the responsibility of veterinarians qualified with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa).
