Artran's strategic action results in 180 infractions and strengthens monitoring on the highways of Pará
With over 1,300 approaches, the operation removed seven vehicles from circulation

The Public Transport Regulation and Control Agency (Artran) announced, this Monday (28), the balance of the operation carried out between April 16 and 21 on the roads and strategic points of 18 municipalities in Pará. The report shows that 1,325 approaches were made, resulting in 180 infraction notices and 7 vehicle seizures.
The monitoring in the road modal by Artran was conducted in Belém and in the Mosqueiro District and passed through strategic municipalities such as São Geraldo do Araguaia, São Domingos do Araguaia, Vigia, Santo Antônio do Tauá, São Miguel do Guamá, Santa Maria do Pará, Castanhal, Santa Izabel do Pará, Moju, Tailândia, Acará, Barcarena, São Francisco do Pará, Igarapé-Açu, Bragança, Capanema, and Santa Bárbara.
"The operation reinforced safety in intermunicipal transport and curbed clandestine activities, with support from partners such as PRE, PRF, Detran, and the Scientific Police, responsible for vehicle inspections. We also managed to offer extra trips to reduce the demand for irregular transport and resolved cases of overcrowding," points out Artran's monitoring director, Gilberto Barbosa.

Of the seven seizure notices recorded, six were applied to clandestine vehicles and one to an authorized vehicle that violated the Agency's regulations. The road monitoring manager, José Cruz, emphasizes that the seizures were preventive and reinforce the commitment to passenger safety.
"The seizures serve as a warning to those operating in clandestine transport. We are showing that those who insist on operating irregularly may have their vehicle removed," he states.

"With the approach of the Labor Day holiday, the demand for intermunicipal transport increases. Therefore, we will reinforce the approaches in strategic sections, both to ensure operators' compliance with regulations and to curb clandestine transport, which puts passenger safety at risk," concludes Gilberto Barbosa.
