The deadline for filling out, submitting, and approving the Financial Application Plans (PAFs), a fundamental step for receiving funds related to the 2025 fiscal year of the Pará School Money Program (Prodep), continues until Wednesday (30). This procedure is essential for the continuity of the priority policies of the State Department of Education (Seduc). So far, more than 250 state schools have filled out and submitted their documents, totaling 800 schools eligible to receive the funds.

The Pará School Money Program is an initiative of the Government of the State of Pará, implemented through Seduc, which grants autonomy to the School Council for managing resources according to the specific needs of each educational unit. Among the actions that can be executed with Prodep resources are small construction works and renovations, acquisition of pedagogical, technological, and safety equipment, maintenance of facilities, purchase of food to complement school meals, climate control of school units, and implementation of projects focused on sustainability and the environment—all essential factors for the learning process.

Luciana Silva, coordinator of Prodep, details the importance of this step: "For schools to receive the resources sent by Seduc, it is essential to fill out the Financial Application Plan (PAF), including all initiatives that the school council intends to execute in 2025. The Department of Education has set the deadline of April 30, 2025, for schools to submit their planning, as determined by Normative Instruction No. 04/2025 - GAB/SEDUC, dated March 24, 2025."

According to the Normative Instruction, School Councils must fill out and submit the PAFs through the Decentralized Management System (SGED). If adjustments to the plans are needed after receiving guidance, Councils will have up to five business days to make modifications and resubmit the documentation. Failure to meet deadlines may result in the non-release of funds, in addition to other administrative sanctions.

Submitting plans after the stipulated deadline may cause delays or even the non-granting of funds, hindering the implementation of projects in schools. On the other hand, plans approved by May 16, 2025, will have priority in receiving funds for the first semester, depending on the budgetary and financial availability of the Department.

This measure also aims to optimize the use of unspent resources from previous fiscal years, which will be deducted from the amount allocated for 2025, ensuring fiscal responsibility and the continuity of investments in improvements for state schools.

For director Elizabete Evanovich of the Oneide de Souza Tavares State Full-Time School, located in Ananindeua, in the Metropolitan Region of Belém (RMB), Prodep has been essential for strengthening and granting autonomy to the school unit. "Currently, the school offers two levels of education: full-time high school and regular elementary education, with about 615 students. The Pará School Money Program has been fundamental for the development of our institution, as decentralized resources have allowed us to implement significant improvements that directly impact the teaching and learning of our students," she stated.

The manager also highlighted the direct benefits provided by Prodep for the Oneide de Souza Tavares State School. "I emphasize the improvement in school meals. The planning for acquiring gas and supplementing snacks and lunch is facilitated, as we know the daily reality of schools, especially full-time units. Additionally, the infrastructure and maintenance of schools have become more flexible, allowing for better planning. The program has also enabled innovative projects, such as robotics, which is a novelty for our community. We managed to acquire robotics kits and carry out wonderful projects. The active participation of the School Council ensures transparency and alignment with the community's needs, further strengthening our mission to provide quality public education," concluded director Elizabete Evanovich.

Prodep - The Pará School Money program seeks to offer greater autonomy for school management in making investments according to the specific needs of each unit. The initiative includes small construction works and renovations, improvement of physical and pedagogical infrastructure, continuous maintenance, environmental sustainability, climate control of classrooms, as well as the acquisition of technological equipment and school meals.
