Sefa seizes optical cables and 24 tons of CO₂ in southeastern Pará

Seizures occurred this Monday (28) in São Geraldo do Araguaia

During an inspection carried out at the tax post of the State Department of Finance (Sefa) located in São Geraldo do Araguaia, at Km 3 of BR-153, state tax auditors assigned to the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Carajás seized 52 thousand units of data cables and optical cables, goods originating from Palmas (TO), destined for the municipality of Marabá-PA. The seizure occurred this Monday (28), and the cargo was valued at R$ 400,950.75.

“Upon analyzing the tax documentation and consulting the system of the Department of Finance, it was identified that the ICMS related to the Differential Rate (Difal), due in interstate operations destined for final consumers who are not taxpayers, had not been properly collected. Given the irregularity, a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was issued in the amount of R$ 39,293.17, reported the coordinator of the tax unit, Cicinato Oliveira.

Carbon dioxide – This Monday, also at the tax post in São Geraldo do Araguaia, a truck transporting 24 tons of bulk carbon dioxide (CO₂) was seized. The goods left Várzea Paulista (SP) destined for Marabá, in southeastern Pará. The goods were valued at R$ 62,400.00.

After the document analysis, it was found that the recipient company had its state registration suspended and acquired the product for commercialization. A Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was issued in the amount of R$ 17,122.56.
