Starting this Saturday, 26, the Metropolitan Transport Management Center (NGTM) will begin a new phase to finalize the construction of the viaduct at the intersection of Mário Covas and Independência avenues in Ananindeua. The work is progressing and is already 65% complete.

In this new phase, the central lane of the structure will be built, with the lifting of the supporting beams. For everyone's safety, from April 26 to May 5, traffic in the section will be altered.

Alternatives - Vehicle drivers coming from the BR-316 towards Av. Augusto Montenegro must, mandatorily, access the opposite lane via the return before Av. Mário Covas and return to the normal direction at the next return. Traffic from Augusto Montenegro to BR-316 will remain normal, but with a reduced lane.

From May 1 to May 5, those coming from Augusto Montenegro to BR-316 will be required to access the opposite lane via the return before Av. Mário Covas and return to the normal direction at the next return. Traffic from BR-316 to Augusto Montenegro will proceed normally, but with a reduced lane.

Viaduct - The viaduct at Av. Mário Covas with Av. Independência measures 350 meters in length and 14 meters in width and will be two-way for those on Mário Covas. Vehicles on Independência will be able to transit under the viaduct. Two other viaducts are under construction by NGTM, one at Av. Mário Covas with Av. Três Corações and one at Av. Independência with BR-316, and another has already been delivered at BR-316 with the Viaduct Access.

Traffic controllers will be on site guiding drivers and pedestrians during the execution period of the services.

Activities - During the period from April 26 to May 5, the lifting of the supporting beams of the viaduct will be carried out. For this, the Government of the State of Pará, through NGTM, in conjunction with Centrais Elétricas do Norte do Brasil S/A (Eletronorte), will carry out the shutdown of the 230kV transmission network circuits alternately to enable the lifting actions of the viaduct beams with the necessary safety.

Eletronorte guarantees that the population will not be left without power during the works.
