At the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of the State Department of Finance (Sefa) of Gurupi, located in the municipality of Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, bordering Maranhão, state tax inspectors seized, this Sunday (30), 50 tons of fertilizers valued at R$ 43,923.20.

"The driver of a rodotrem was approached at the tax post and reported that he did not have invoices for the goods. The vehicle underwent a physical inspection to verify the cargo, and after the inspection procedures were initiated, the driver presented an invoice for 50 tons of fertilizer, originating from São Luís (MA) and destined for Miranorte (TO), in complete divergence with the actual route, as it was entering the State of Pará," said coordinator Gustavo Bozola.

After consultations in the Sefa system, it was verified that the taxpayer had a state registration but was irregular in the State. The cargo was retained and two Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) were drawn up for a total amount of R$ 19,823.02 corresponding to the ICMS of the goods and fine.
