The Linear Park and the New Tamandaré Waterway Terminal stand out among the legacies of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30), held in Belém in November of this year. Structural works that urbanize and transform accessibility to the insular area of the capital of Pará are among the main investments made and delivered by the Government of Pará in November.

With spaces for socializing and leisure, kiosks, bike paths, a children's park, an interactive fountain, a pet park, an outdoor gym, an amphitheater, and areas for contemplation, the Linear Park of New Tamandaré already benefits more than 100,000 residents in its area of influence and from other parts of the city.

A milestone in the modernization of the port infrastructure of the Metropolitan Region of Belém, the Waterway Terminal ensures safety and convenience for the boarding and disembarking of passengers to the islands of Belém and the municipality of Barcarena.

Quality of life - Another legacy of COP30 is the União Canal, in the Marco neighborhood. The work integrates investments in the Tucunduba Basin, benefiting around 300,000 people. "The interventions improved drainage infrastructure and reduced the risks of flooding and inundations in the region. They are important to ensure the safety and quality of life of the people living in the area. There has been a reduction in the risk of diseases transmitted by contaminated water and an improvement in water quality and flooding," informs student Lucas Gomes, who lives on the banks of the União Canal.

Health for them and for everyone - The Program For All of Them, aimed at the demands of the female audience, delivered over 9,000 prescription glasses for free in November. In Belém, residents of the neighborhoods of Guamá, Bengui, and Pedreira were benefited, as well as those in the municipalities of Marabá and Parauapebas, in southeastern Pará.

The initiative offers consultations and ophthalmological exams, previously conducted in various citizenship and health actions promoted by the State.

"The delivery of glasses represents more quality of life, autonomy, and well-being for men and women, adults and children. Each service represents more than just a service. It is the certainty that we are reaching those who need it most, with care, respect, and social commitment. We continue to advance so that every resident of Pará has access to the health and dignity they deserve," emphasizes Elieth Braga, head of the State Secretariat for Citizenship Articulation (Seac).

Also in November, the Government of Pará launched the Program "For All of Them," expanding the free offer of health and protection services aimed at the male audience. With this initiative, men now have access, through the Program, to consultations with general practitioners, cardiologists, and urologists, as well as exams such as electrocardiograms and ultrasounds of the prostate, kidneys, urinary tract, and total abdomen, all conducted with the support of a new trailer, structured for the services.

Health and history - The Santa Casa de Misericórdia Foundation of Pará, based in Belém, received this month a set of works and equipment that reinforce the quality of health assistance and preserve the history of the institution with over three centuries of existence.

With an investment of over R$ 7.4 million, the interventions included the restoration of the Centenary Chapel of Our Lady Mother of Mercy and the Dr. Alípio Bordalo Museum; the delivery of a new social space for employees, called Espaço Santa Gente, and the installation of a new state-of-the-art magnetic resonance imaging device.

Economy – The new Açaí and Flour Fair in the municipality of Oeiras do Pará, in the Marajó Archipelago; the Pedreira Market in Belém, and the Commercial Center of Benevides (Metropolitan Region) were delivered by the State in November to strengthen local commerce, benefiting merchants and consumers in a space with more hygiene, comfort, and safety.

Education – Completely rebuilt, the State High School Professor Maria Elizete Fona Nunes, in Breves (in Marajó), is one of the main investments in November in the education sector. With an investment of over R$ 4 million, the unit now serves 502 students from High School and Youth and Adult Education (EJA), in the morning, afternoon, and evening shifts.

New daycare centers, within the "Daycare Centers for All of Pará" Program, were also delivered in the municipalities of Terra Alta (northeast) and Altamira (west). The units have the capacity to serve children from 0 to 5 years old, in situations of social vulnerability, also benefiting their families.

Security – The Military Fire Brigade of Pará celebrated 143 years in November and received adapted vehicles from the State for combating forest fires and recognition for military personnel who worked at COP30.

The investment exceeds R$ 8 million, significantly expanding the corporation's response capacity in forest areas.

Citizenship - The Government of Pará is also advancing with the delivery of National Driver's Licenses from the Social Program CNH Pai D'égua. In Marabá alone, in November, over 1,700 licenses were delivered, all classified as "Engages in Paid Activity," to facilitate the access of beneficiaries to the job market.

Housing – Families from Benevides, Marabá, and Abaetetuba (northeast), as well as quilombola communities, received housing assistance from the Sua Casa Program, in addition to the officialization of Collective Land Titles, which guarantees legal security.

Infrastructure – The modernization work of Avenida Duque de Caxias, in the capital, also gained prominence in November. Executed by the State Secretariat of Public Works (Seop), the intervention provided the public road with an outdoor gym, benches, trash cans, game tables, picnic areas, pet spaces, new paving, LED lighting, and signage with intelligent equipment.

At the beginning of November, the COP Village was also delivered, a space that hosted participants of the international conference and will be transformed into a state administrative center. This measure ensures the full use of the infrastructure and contributes to the modernization of public management.

Tourism – The second stage of the Breves Waterfront, which has already become a reference for the municipality, was delivered by the state government as a strategy to strengthen local commerce and tourism. The work included the construction of kiosks, sports courts, playgrounds, pergolas, bike paths, and paved areas for circulation.

Another structural work is the new Cargo and Passenger Waterway Terminal of Oeiras do Pará. The port has boarding and disembarking areas, ticket sales counters, rooms for the Military Police and court, luggage storage, restrooms, shops, restaurants, decks, and spaces for cultural events, which strengthen the economy and tourism in the Marajó region.
