The Curro Velho Workshop Center, a facility of the Cultural Foundation of Pará (FCP), received a donation of goods seized by the Federal Revenue of Brazil under the "Receita por Elas" program. The official delivery took place last Friday, the 28th, at the Curro Velho Theater in Belém.

The delivery event was attended by Altair Sampaio, tax auditor and Superintendent of the Federal Revenue of the 2nd Fiscal Region; Igor Kahwage, administrative and financial director of the FCP; and Celeste Iglesias, Director of the Curro Velho Workshop Center; as well as staff and members of the served community.

The "Receita por Elas" is a social responsibility action of the Revenue, part of the Citizen Revenue Program, and aims to transform seized goods into benefits for society, providing support, shelter, and social reintegration for women in vulnerable situations.

The Superintendent of the Federal Revenue, Altair Sampaio, detailed the impact of the initiative. "We reaffirm here the commitment of the Federal Revenue to Fiscal Citizenship, the sustainable allocation of seized goods, and the promotion of social justice," he stated. He also emphasized that the allocation aims to "reverse the product of crime into direct benefits for society, strengthening essential services and expanding the capacity of institutions that serve women in vulnerable situations, as happens with the Cultural Foundation of Pará, at Curro Velho." Sampaio further highlighted that the allocated goods (which may include clothing, utensils, and electronics) aim to empower the women assisted by the institution.

Celeste Iglesias, Director of Curro Velho

Celeste Iglesias, Director of Curro Velho, expressed gratitude for the partnership, envisioning the future of the collaboration. "We hope that this relationship strengthens and multiplies into new initiatives, always guided by empathy and commitment to human dignity," she declared. Iglesias added, emphasizing the value of the donation: "May this donation be just a seed, and together we can see new paths, new stories of overcoming, and new lives flourish."

The Cultural Foundation of Pará reiterates its role in executing public cultural policies, using the cultural segment as a tool for social transformation and human development, essential for the support and assistance provided, as carried out by the Curro Velho Workshop Center.
