Government of Pará delivers machines to reinforce the maintenance of rural roads
Redenção, Xinguara, Novo Repartimento, Floresta do Araguaia, and Castanhal received equipment that will improve infrastructure in the cities
The government of Pará delivered machines that will be used for maintenance and conservation services of roads in the municipalities of Redenção, Xinguara, Novo Repartimento, Floresta do Araguaia, and Castanhal, this Monday (24), at the Government Palace, in an event attended by Governor Helder Barbalho and Vice Governor Hana Ghassan, along with the mayors of the benefited cities. Four wheel loaders and two road rollers were delivered.
The governor highlighted that the distribution of the equipment contributes to increasing agricultural production capacity, improving local infrastructure, and facilitating the flow of products.
"These are important pieces of equipment that contribute to both urban activities and rural production, opening roads for municipalities in various regions. A partnership with Deputy Júnior Ferrari, from his mandate, combined with the state government, allowing Redenção, Xinguara, Novo Repartimento, Floresta do Araguaia, and Castanhal to be contemplated with these important pieces of equipment for the development of these municipalities," added the head of the state executive branch.
The equipment is from the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply (MAPA) and was donated to the Pará Rural Management Center (NGPR), through the intermediation of federal deputy Júnior Ferrari (PSD).
Investments - From 2019 until November 2025, the government of Pará, through the NGPR, delivered more than 35,000 items, totaling approximately R$ 99 million, aimed at serving the 144 municipalities, benefiting city halls, farmers' associations, and representative entities of fishing. More than 50,000 families have already benefited from these investments.
The mayor of Redenção, Rener de Santana Miranda, highlighted how the machinery will help in the development of the city. "Today we have a rural road network that has a lot of production. Redenção is one of the largest soybean producers in the country, and with these machines, we will be able to better serve our producers, improving the conditions for them to market their production. Now we will serve our urban and rural population even more because we will make good pavements in the city," he said.
For the mayor of Xinguara, Osvaldinho Assunção, the equipment will help the municipality save and invest in other sectors. "I want to say here that these machines will be very important for preparing the roads for rural producers to market their goods. And they arrive at a good time because today municipalities are without machines and have to rent. One of these machines will replace a rental of 40,000 to 50,000 per month that the municipality would have to pay to third parties," he stated.
