Utinga Camillo Vianna State Park, in Belém, was one of the main visitation destinations during the COP30 period, held from November 10 to 21. The conservation unit, managed by the Forest Development and Biodiversity Institute (Ideflor-Bio) and the Social Organization Pará 2000, recorded nearly 20,000 visitors over the twelve days, highlighting the growing interest in natural environments and environmental education experiences in the heart of Pará's capital.

From November 1 to 23, the park recorded about 46,000 visitors, a number that reinforces the positive impact of the climate conference on the region's tourist flow. The data shows that the conservation unit, in addition to playing a fundamental role in the Amazon biome, has been consolidating its importance as a public leisure facility, sustainable tourism, and environmental awareness for residents and visitors.

The presence of international delegations marked the COP30 period in the park. Among the visitors were the Queen of Denmark, Mary Donaldson; representatives from China, Argentina, Romania, and Ivory Coast, as well as participants from various other countries. The diversity of nationalities reinforced Utinga's strategic role as a showcase of urban Amazonia and its potential for conservation and sustainable development.

Preserved nature - Located just minutes from downtown Belém, Utinga State Park holds a representative sample of the Amazon biome, offering trails, lakes, diverse fauna, and communal areas that connect the public to nature. During COP30, the space served as a meeting point between science, public policies, and environmental experiences, bringing visitors closer to the Amazonian reality without leaving the capital.

According to Júlio Meyer, the manager of the Belém Administrative Region of Ideflor-Bio, Utinga State Park continues to strengthen its mission of conservation, environmental education, and promotion of sustainable activities. He stated that the expectation is that the legacy of COP30 will continue to boost visitation and increase recognition of the park as one of the most important green spaces in urban Amazonia.

“Utinga State Park has become a reference for environmental management and public use. Welcoming people from so many parts of the world, especially during COP30, shows the importance of preserving this heritage and making it increasingly accessible to society,” said the manager.

Service - Located on Avenida João Paulo II, in the Curió-Utinga neighborhood, Utinga State Park will be open every day during the month of November. The space welcomes visitors of all ages and also schedules visits for schools and universities, which can be requested via email at visite.uc.rmb@gmail.com.
