The COP30, held in Belém from November 10 to 21, 2025, registered over half a million accesses from people distributed among the Green Zone, the Blue Zone, and other official spaces of the event. The number confirms the conference as the largest meeting ever held in the Amazon and one of the most significant on the international climate agenda, consolidating Pará's strategic role in the global discussion on climate, socio-environmental justice, and sustainable development.

Governor Helder Barbalho emphasized that the strong popular participation demonstrates society's engagement in the environmental agenda. "COP30 showed the world that the Amazon is alive, vibrant, and ready to lead solutions. With organization, dialogue, and commitment to the planet," he stated.

Vice Governor Hana Ghassan also highlighted the social and political reach of the conference. "This is a historic moment for Pará. The massive presence of the public reinforces that sustainable transition only makes sense when it includes people, territories, and their realities," she said.

Growth in audience and highlights of COP30 spaces

Throughout the 12 days of programming, the daily numbers reflected the growing pace of the conference. The Green Zone, aimed at the general public, recorded peaks of over 37,000 people in a single day. The Blue Zone, the official area for multilateral negotiations, hosted delegations from all regions of the world, remaining the political center of the event.

At the closing of the Pará Pavilion, this Friday (21), Governor Helder Barbalho was welcomed to the sound of the traditional Arraial do Pavulagem, in a moment marked by the celebration of Pará's culture within COP30. Organized by the Government of Pará, the space featured over 300 activities open to the public.

"The Pará Pavilion reaffirms that the Amazon has a face, has a voice, and has culture. Here we show the world our diversity, our bioeconomy, our public policies, and the creativity of a people that transforms its identity into solutions, into development, and into the future," highlighted the head of the Executive.

Pará Municipal Pavilion reinforces the territorial diversity of the State

Among the busiest spaces of the conference, the Pará Municipal Pavilion stood out as a showcase of territorial plurality. Between November 17 and 21, the location received 135,400 visitors interested in cultural exhibitions, immersive experiences, bioeconomy initiatives, municipal presentations, and debates with experts.

The pavilion served as a connection point between Pará and the world, allowing visitors, researchers, and international authorities to closely learn about the power of Pará's municipalities and their sustainable initiatives.

EN-Zone boosts Amazonian entrepreneurship

Another highly relevant attraction was the EN-Zone, organized by Sebrae, which received over 57,000 visitors and established itself as the largest entrepreneurship space at COP30. With more than 400 Amazonian entrepreneurs, the environment promoted business, business connections, international visibility, and sustainability strategies for the forest economy.

The sales volume exceeded R$ 1.5 million, strengthening productive chains and expanding income opportunities in various regions of Pará.

During a visit to the EN-Zone, Governor Helder Barbalho highlighted the plural character of the conference. "It is important the democratic way in which Belém prepared to welcome everyone, having space for those who came officially, the delegates in the Blue Zone, civil society, and all the exhibitors who participated in the Green. But Belém innovates when it has diverse spaces, plural spaces. It is also the chance to honor individual entrepreneurs. This is the foundation of our State's and Brazil's economy," he stated.
