Sefa seizes three motorcycles and a car in Novo Progresso
The situation was characterized as a breach of transit, when the fiscal documents indicate a delivery location for the goods, but they go to another place
State revenue inspectors working in the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of the State Department of Finance (Sefa), in Serra do Cachimbo, at km-785 of the BR-163 highway (Cuiabá-Santarém), in the municipality of Novo Progresso, southwestern Pará, seized, on Thursday, the 20th, three motorcycles and a car. The cargo was valued at R$ 251,437.00.
“A car carrier truck from Mato Grosso was transporting vehicles. The fiscal documents were presented, including three invoices for three new motorcycles and one vehicle, also new, all intended for individuals. The Electronic Transport Knowledge indicated the destination as the State of Pará, in the municipality of Itaituba. However, the invoices for both the vehicle and the motorcycles had destinations in cities in the State of Mato Grosso. When we crossed the information, it was verified that the recipient of two motorcycles is registered in the taxpayer registry of Pará, with the main activity being the retail trade of motorcycles and mopeds,” reported the unit coordinator, Maycon Freitas.
The situation was characterized as a breach of transit, when the fiscal documents indicate a delivery location for the goods and they go to another place. Three Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) were drawn up, totaling R$ 89,719.39, referring to the tax and fines owed.
