Sefa inspectors seize over 48 thousand kilograms of corn
The seizure took place in Novo Progresso, southwestern Pará. The cargo was valued at R$ 50,767.50
Sefa inspectors from the Coordination of Goods in Transit in Serra do Cachimbo, at km-785 of the BR-163 highway (Cuiabá-Santarém), in the municipality of Novo Progresso, southwestern Pará, seized on Tuesday, 11/18, 48,350 kilograms of corn that left Marcelândia-MT destined for Boa Vista-RR. The cargo was valued at R$ 50,767.50.
“During the inspection, among other tax documents, an invoice issued on 11/17/25 was presented. However, after analyzing the presented documents, it was found that the sending company has been suspended from the registry since 11/11/25, prior to the date of issuance of the invoice. The invoice was disregarded, and a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up in the amount of R$ 16,204.99, referring to the tax and fine due,” informed coordinator Maycon Freitas.
