"Vem Louvar Pará" will bring together major names in gospel music in Belém
The first edition of the festival will take place on December 4 and 5, with free admission
The government of Pará launched, this Monday (17), the first edition of the festival "Vem Louvar Pará", which will take place on December 4 and 5, in the parking lot of the Mangueirão Stadium, in Belém. The event will bring together major names in national gospel music and will have free admission, in a large gathering of the Christian community, reaffirming Belém as a center for major cultural events.
On December 4, Aline Barros, Isadora Pompeo, and Maria Marçal will perform. On the 5th, Fernandinho, Thalles Roberto, and Jefferson & Suellem will take the stage. The performances on both days are scheduled to start at 7 PM. The festival will also feature a food court, activities, and a welcoming structure for the public, in addition to the expectation of caravans from various regions of the State.
“This is a fantastic project that will allow Christian communities to gather to praise, to thank God, to fellowship with Jesus Christ,” highlighted Governor Helder Barbalho, commenting that "Vem Louvar Pará" is part of Belém's end-of-year agenda, which also includes the reopening of the City Park and New Year's Eve shows, which are also expected to feature gospel performances.
The governor also emphasized the importance of maintaining the rhythm of the city's cultural agenda after COP30. “We are in the middle of COP launching because we do not want Belém to slow down. We do not want the cultural agenda and the mobilization agenda that the city is experiencing, the day after COP, to reduce this rhythm and this journey. And we are doing this also out of deep respect for the evangelical community, which plays an essential role in the life of our city and our State,” added Helder Barbalho.
The launch, held at the Government Palace, was attended by various leaders from the evangelical community, as well as the Vice Governor of Pará, Hana Ghassan Tuma, and the Mayor of Belém, Igor Normando. Federal deputies Cláudio Mariano, Raimundo Santos, and Renilce Nicodemos, and state deputy Martinho Carmona also participated.
“As the name itself says, it is not just a music event. I am sure it will be a moment of renewal, and we live in a world where we increasingly need this moment of unity, to face challenges with great faith. I always say that, with work and faith, everything will work out - and a great example is this moment we are living,” said Vice Governor Hana Ghassan.
Pastor Lourival Pereira, from the Family Cathedral, linked to the Quadrangular Gospel Church, highlighted the expectation for the festival. “The evangelical people are thrilled, everyone very happy, feeling contemplated by the government of Pará. And the best part: the government is promoting a mega event, with a superstructure that is not inferior to any other event held in Belém or the State. We are bringing the best of gospel music from Brazil today. The expectation is enormous. The joy, gratitude, and satisfaction of the people of God are immense,” he stated.
Lourival also recalled that Belém hosted, for 30 consecutive years, the great event called Louvor Norte. “We are going to relive that now. The 'Vem Louvar Pará' is bringing back that atmosphere of great gospel events, of joy, for the people of God to praise God, to exalt the name of Jesus. We are very excited, very happy, and very full of expectation for this great party,” he added.
Pastor Philipe Câmara, from the Assembly of God in Belém, emphasized the strength of the evangelical community. “It is a large, engaged community that loves Belém and works for the good of the city. I am very happy to see this community being remembered, called, and I am sure it will be beautiful. We will be able to gather these people, celebrate Jesus, bless Belém, have all the churches united in a unique moment,” he stated.
Câmara also congratulated the state government “for the sensitivity, for the invitation, and for the extraordinary environment that the State and the city are experiencing.”
“The government of Pará has always been very present with the religious community, in the city. This event fits perfectly with the moment that Belém is living and with the work of this community, which is objective, visible, social, undeniable, but also a subjective, preventive work that is done silently. I believe this will unite the church and bless the city,” concluded the pastor.
