"It was the best gift I could receive." This is how housewife Margareth Costa summarized the emotion of receiving her new prescription glasses on her birthday. A resident of the Pedreira neighborhood in Belém, she was one of the beneficiaries of the For All of Them program, which delivered 1,374 new vision aids to women and their families this Saturday (15).

"It is very important for us to have glasses. It is something necessary because our vision can start to fail suddenly. My old glasses were already worn out, with stains. Today I will go out to celebrate my birthday with a new vision!" Margareth celebrated.

The delivery of glasses included people who had already been attended to in eye exams and consultations conducted previously during the action of the For All of Them program, which took place on October 1st at the Quadrangular Church in the Pedreira neighborhood. During the event, the Vice Governor of Pará and creator of the program, Hana Ghassan, emphasized the importance of keeping visual health care up to date.

"I thank God for us being here today, for the delivery of these glasses that are so important for our daily lives and for the improvement of each one of us. I emphasize that it is necessary to have an eye exam every year because, many times, the prescription increases. So, plan to participate in our actions and take care of your health. Count on the State Government so that we can continue working for those who need it most," declared the vice governor.

Another beneficiary during the event was teacher Marilda Moraes, who expressed her gratitude for the delivery. "These glasses are very important and will help us improve our quality of life. I am a teacher, pastor, and therapist, so I am always in front of computers and cell phones, and I need them. I have astigmatism and need to wear glasses continuously. I am grateful for the service and the opportunity we received," she highlighted.

Accessibility - Also during the action that took place this Saturday, 21 people were provided with new wheelchairs through consultations and registrations made during the For All of Them program's action.

For All of Them - Created in 2024, the program has already provided over 190,000 services throughout Pará, offering more than 30 types of free services in health, citizenship, and leisure. The state initiative aims not only to guarantee essential services to women from Pará and their families but also to strengthen the debate on women's participation as protagonists in the construction of rights and in society. The program has also ensured the production and delivery of over 40,000 new prescription glasses to the population served in the itinerant actions.

"This is a program that has already served almost 200,000 people throughout Pará, bringing citizenship, health, and services to women and their families. We will continue working and traveling throughout the State to ensure that more and more people from Pará have access to the essential services and care offered by For All of Them," said the State Secretary of Citizenship Articulation, Elieth Braga.

Service - People who were unable to attend the delivery this Saturday (15) can pick up their glasses directly at the Usina da Paz Guamá, located at Avenida Bernardo Sayão, No. 4783. It is necessary to present an official identification document.

In case of any issues with the delivered glasses, interested parties should also contact the Usina da Paz Guamá to request the necessary corrections.
