The State Government has already registered over 26 thousand services with the program 'Assistance throughout Pará'
The project reinforces the current state administration's commitment to ensuring more citizenship and social inclusion for people in vulnerable situations.
The Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat for Social Assistance, Labor, Employment and Income (Seaster), has already executed 26,820 services in nine municipalities in Pará through the program 'Assistance throughout Pará'. The project reinforces the current state administration's commitment to ensuring more citizenship and social inclusion for people in vulnerable situations, thereby decentralizing access to various essential services for all.
Data - The activities took place in hub municipalities, encompassing nearby communities and cities. In Marabá, 2,781 services were recorded; Abaetetuba, 2,950; Castanhal, 4,415; Bragança, 4,709; Benevides, 1,984; Santarém, 2,765; Altamira, 1,928; Ipixuna, 1,881; and Belém, 3,407 services.
All actions recorded the provision of services with guidance and social referrals aimed at families in vulnerable situations, in addition to actions in the areas of basic and special social protection and employment and income, for integration into the labor market.
In Belém, for example, the highlight was the performance of the Directorate of Income, Citizenship and Poverty Alleviation (DRCCP), which accounted for 2,064 services; the Directorate of Labor and Employment (DTE), with 717 services; the Directorate of Professional Qualification and Entrepreneurship (DQPE), with 170 services performed; the Directorate of Food and Nutritional Security (Disan), with 182 services, including training and the provision of free nutritional assistance; and the Directorate of Social Assistance (DAS), with 274 services, which also included qualifications.
In the municipality of Benevides, the program reached the mark of 1,983 services. Among them, the Directorate of Social Assistance (DAS) totaled about 523 services, including psychosocial guidance, referrals to the social assistance network, discussion circles on social rights, and actions to promote quality of life. The actions also included people in street situations, people with disabilities, and families at social risk, strengthening the articulation with the municipal network.
In Altamira, 1,957 services were completed, including social assistance and qualifications. The highlight was the performance of Disan, which provided 444 services, offering guidance on healthy eating, registration in food security programs, and support for the food bank. Families participating in the Food Acquisition Program (PAA) were also assisted. There were also activities focused on food and nutritional education, especially for women heads of households and the elderly, emphasizing the importance of the nutritional quality of the distributed food.
The significant result reflects the joint effort of the technical teams of Seaster, who work in partnership with other institutions, such as the State Secretariat of Health of Pará (Sespa), Public Defender's Office (DPE), and Civil Police (PCPA), which together combine forces to strengthen state public policies aimed at assistance and social work.
"Our goal is to ensure that services reach all regions, respecting local specificities and ensuring that everyone can be served in the best way, for the sake of more dignity, well-being, and job and income generation. We will continue with our planning for new actions throughout Pará," highlighted Inocencio Gasparim, head of Seaster.
The actions of 'Assistance throughout Pará' will continue in an itinerant and permanent manner, focusing on the interiorization of services and strengthening municipal assistance networks.
Firming its commitment, the Government of Pará continues to expand the reach of social policies, ensuring more well-being and dignity for the population, including quilombola and indigenous communities throughout the Pará territory, with efficient inclusive actions.
