Sefa seizes metal plates and sawn wood in Pará
The goods left the municipality of Joinville (SC) and had Belém as the final destination
At the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Carajás, from the State Department of Finance (Sefa), in the southeast of the State, 386 units of metal plates and aluminum panels were seized on Wednesday (12), valued at R$ 174,148.00. The goods left the municipality of Joinville (SC), destined for Belém (PA).
“The seizure occurred at the fiscal post of Km-9 of the Transamazon Highway, in Marabá. After document analysis and consultations with Sefa's systems, it was found that the taxpayer failed to collect the ICMS corresponding to the difference between the internal and interstate rates (Difal), which is due in operations destined for final consumers who are not taxpayers of the state tax, as determined by current legislation,” informed coordinator Cicinato Oliveira.
A Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up in the amount of R$ 29,256.86, charging ICMS and fines.
Wood - At the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Gurupi, in Cachoeira do Piriá, 50 cubic meters of sawn wood were also seized on Wednesday (12), due to discrepancies in the invoice.
"The load of 50 cubic meters of sawn wood was heading from Tailândia (PA) to Jaboatão dos Guararapes (PE). The invoice presented stated that the transported product was sawn wood of the type taipa, valued at R$ 564.96 per cubic meter. However, after the physical verification of the load, it was found that it was sawn wood of the type board, whose market value is R$ 856.32 per cubic meter, indicating an attempt to disguise the tax calculation base,” explained coordinator Gustavo Bozola.
The difference in the type of wood cut altered the total value of the operation, totaling R$ 42,816.00. The fiscal document was disregarded and a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up, in the amount of R$ 9,250.00.
