Iasep launches medical exam authorization service via Whatsapp
The digital tool will be operational next Monday (November 3) to improve accessibility to health services
The Health Assistance Institute for State Servers of Pará (Iasep) announces a new feature aimed at its more than 200,000 insured individuals. Starting next Monday, November 3, it will be possible to request authorization for medical exams directly through the Whatsapp application. This initiative is part of the institute's modernization process and aims to make service more agile and accessible. Iasep emphasizes that in-person service will continue to operate normally, ensuring that insured individuals can choose the most convenient way to access services.
With the new tool, insured individuals will have more convenience to request the service from wherever they are, which represents an important advancement for users. The service was developed with a focus on practicality, respecting the guidelines of the General Data Protection Law (LGPD).
Dayane Gomes, an insured individual of the plan for 8 years, commented that the news comes at a good time. “I already use WhatsApp to resolve work issues. Being able to use the same channel for health matters is an added convenience,” she stated.
To use the service, the insured individual must save the official Iasep number, (91) 3122-9886, and send a message, such as the word “Hi.” From there, the virtual assistant guides the user on sending the necessary information, such as full name, CPF, number of the Enrollment Agreement (present on the plan card), a photo of an official document with a photo (front and back), and an image of the medical guide with the requested exams and the doctor's signature with CRM.
At this initial stage, the functionality will serve insured individuals in Belém and Ananindeua; later, the expansion will serve other municipalities in the State. The service via WhatsApp will be available from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 4 pm, except on holidays.
