On the morning of this Thursday (30), the Civil Police, through the Division of Investigation and Special Operations (DIOE), launched another phase of the operation "Final Answer", aiming to execute 40 search and seizure warrants at the residences of suspects located in Belém and the Metropolitan Region.

The targets are being investigated for being part of a criminal association involved in fraud in the public competition for the Municipal Guard of Marituba, held on July 20 of this year. Among them are students and agents of the State Municipal Guard.

According to delegate Joubert Cândido, the investigations began from anonymous tips. "Based on the information received, an intelligence operation was carried out to verify the veracity of the information and then a police inquiry was initiated to start the investigations," he explained.

During the execution of the court orders, cell phones were seized, which will be sent for forensic examination.

According to delegate Mhoab Khayan, from the Regional Superintendence of Baixo Tocantins, the suspects used electronic microdevices during the tests to receive messages with the content of the answers. "These devices were used discreetly, allowing communication during the exam and compromising the integrity of the competition," he explained.

The action was supported by the Coordination of Operations and Special Resources (CORE), the Homicide Division (DH), the Division for the Suppression of Thefts and Robberies (DRFR), the Regional Superintendence of Baixo Tocantins, and the Division for the Suppression of Drugs (DENARC).

Delegate Ricardo Rosário, head of DIOE, emphasized that the investigations continue. "The work of the Civil Police continues continuously to identify and hold accountable all those involved in this type of fraud, ensuring the transparency and credibility of public competitions," he stated.

The investigations continue to identify other possible individuals involved in the fraudulent scheme.
