In a demonstration of solidarity and social commitment, Igepps employees participated in the Blood Donation Campaign "At COP 30, sustain life. Donate Blood", promoted by the Pará Hemotherapy and Hematology Center Foundation (Hemopa).

The People Development Coordination (Codp) organized the mobilization of employees in a challenge aimed at encouraging volunteering and reinforcing the blood stocks of the Hemocenter, essential for saving lives throughout the State.

Psychologist Vaneuza Miranda decided to donate blood for the first time. "I was a bit apprehensive, but I realized the importance of the act and the encouragement of volunteering that saves lives," emphasized the employee.

The activity was part of the Institute's institutional social responsibility program, which seeks to stimulate employee engagement in solidarity causes.

Technical consultant Pedro Albuquerque was happy to contribute to the chain of solidarity. "It feels very good to do our part. The support from the Institute is essential to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation. A single donation can save up to 4 lives," emphasized the collaborator.

During the challenge, teams formed by employees and collaborators mobilized to donate blood, promoting an environment of cooperation, empathy, and collective spirit.

“This action is more than a healthy competition; it is a gesture of citizenship and love for others. Each bag of blood can help save up to four lives, and this gives an even more special meaning to our work as public servants,” highlighted Igepps Chief of Staff, Elaine Menezes.

Hemopa provided structure and technical staff to welcome donors, ensuring all necessary care during the donation process. Additionally, participants received guidance on the importance of regular donation and how small actions can make a big difference in the lives of those in need of transfusions.

Reinforcement of Blood Stock at COP30

The collaboration of state institutions and the population is essential for the success of the campaign and the reinforcement of blood stocks, especially at this moment leading up to COP 30, the largest global conference on climate change, which will gather thousands of people in the capital of Pará. "We are very happy with Igepps' participation. The solidarity of the employees will help many people in need of blood," said Lorena Mota, social worker at the hemocenter.

With enthusiasm and a spirit of solidarity, employees contributed to strengthening the network of voluntary donors in Pará. "It feels very good to be able to help others," said Rafaela Gama, a collaborator in the Igepps Planning Center. She is already a registered donor at Hemopa and with her participation in the challenge, she has made four blood donations. "In just a few minutes, you give hope to several people."

The mobilization demonstrates that unity and empathy are fundamental to building a more humane and supportive society.

“The partnership with Hemopa is very important for us to reinforce the culture of blood donation among our employees. We want this initiative to become a tradition within the Institute,” said Igepps President, Washington Albuquerque.
