The seizure took place at the tax post of the Carajás Railway, on PA-150, in Marabá. The officials are assigned to the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Carajás, in the southeast of the state.
"A truck transporting goods from the municipalities of São Geraldo do Araguaia and Ourilândia do Norte, heading to Ananindeua, was stopped. After document analysis and weighing of the vehicle, it was found that the taxpayer was transporting 1.6 tons of goods above the weight declared on the invoice, without accompanying valid tax documents," reported coordinator Cicinato Oliveira.
To collect ICMS and fines, a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was issued in the amount of R$ 19,312.56.
Beverages – On the same day, during an inspection carried out at the tax post in Marabá, at KM 09 of the Transamazon Highway, a load of beverages, including wines, energy drinks, and various beverages, totaling approximately 3.5 tons and 599 units, valued at R$ 69,163.54, was seized.
"The truck transporting goods from the municipality of Aparecida de Goiânia/GO, heading to Marabá, was stopped at the tax post with a load of beverages. After document analysis and consultations with Sefa's systems, it was found that the taxpayer declared values much lower than the market price and failed to collect the ICMS related to the goods subject to advance payment upon entering the territory of Pará, as determined by current legislation," explained the state tax inspector.
A Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was issued in the amount of R$ 47,122.78, already considering ICMS and fines. The TAD was paid, and the goods were released.
Varnish cans - Still on the 26th, state tax inspectors from Sefa assigned to the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit in Itinga, in Dom Eliseu, northeastern Pará, seized 160 units of 18-liter varnish cans, valued at R$ 191,360.00, which left Santa Isabel/SP heading to Belém.
"The goods are intended for a legal entity that is not an ICMS taxpayer. No payment regarding the ICMS Differential Rate (Difal) that should have been collected in favor of the State of Pará was found in the research of electronic invoice systems," said coordinator Rafael Brasil.
A Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was issued in the amount of R$ 39,689.48, corresponding to the tax and fines.
