UsiPaz Benevides celebrates Children's Day, combining fun and sustainability
About 600 children aged 4 to 12 participated in the program, with artistic performances, painting workshops, treasure hunts, among other activities
The Usina da Paz in the municipality of Benevides, in the Metropolitan Region of Belém, held a special program last Saturday (25) in celebration of Children's Day, celebrated on October 12. The event gathered a large audience for an afternoon filled with fun, environmental education, and sustainability.
The initiative was a project of the State Government, through the Secretary of Citizenship Articulation (Seac), in partnership with the municipal government, aimed at celebrating the month of the little visitors of Usina da Paz, ensuring fun and encouraging care for the environment from childhood.
About 600 children aged 4 to 12 participated in the program, which included a series of activities such as artistic performances, painting workshops, games, treasure hunts, knowledge tests, as well as film screenings.
Resident Tatiana Flexa took her daughter Alexia to enjoy the program and left satisfied. “It was a beautiful and organized program. An event designed for the well-being and welcoming of our children. As a mother, I was very happy to see the joy of my daughter and the other children,” she said. “I thought the party was very cool and fun. I loved the games and the prizes,” concluded Alexia.
In addition to the games, the program also highlighted the environmental education of the children in the municipality, with the realization of sustainable workshops and planting of native tree seedlings. There was also an exchange of used plastic packaging for special prizes, encouraging recycling and the reuse of materials.
“Children's Day at Usina da Paz in Benevides was thoughtfully planned to ensure moments of joy and learning for our children. In addition to the games and recreational activities, we promoted sustainability workshops that help awaken awareness about caring for the environment from an early age. It is gratifying to see Usina being this space for coexistence, citizenship, and value formation for the future of our community,” declared Luzileide Solon, director of Usina da Paz in Benevides.
