The management of the Autism Spectrum Disorder Care Center (Natea), in Caetés, Capanema, northeastern Pará, celebrates, this Wednesday (22), three years of operation, a period in which it has established itself as an important regional reference in specialized care for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). During this period, more than 70 thousand services were provided, resulting in 99.93% satisfaction among its users.

Integrated into the Caetés Hospital Complex (CHC), the center serves about 300 children monthly, coming from 16 municipalities in the Caetés region, and from January to September 2025, it recorded over 71 thousand services, representing a growth of 27.3% compared to the same period last year, when 56,041 services were recorded.

The progress demonstrates the expansion of access and the effectiveness of multiprofessional actions, reinforcing the positive impact of Natea in the region. As part of the initiatives aimed at the well-being of families, the institution implemented the project "Cares for those who care?", aimed at providing psychological support for parents and caregivers. In its first month of operation, the action has already benefited more than 50 people, offering a space for listening, emotional support, and strengthening the bond between families and the technical team.

The commemorative program included parents and caregivers who participated in the "Children's Day Circuit", responsible dynamics in motion, and the presentation of the project caring for those who care.

For the manager of Natea Caetés, Tassilene Gonçalves, the three years of the center's operation is a moment of reflection on the advances achieved. "This cycle demonstrates that, through collective and collaborative work, it is possible to achieve significant results. The development of projects and the strengthening of the bond between the service and the users' guardians have been fundamental to consolidate a highly reliable service committed to the quality of care," she stated.

Approval - Resident of Capanema, Marcio Douglas Camurça da Silva, 36 years old, father of João Gabriel Medeiros da Silva, 13 years old, who has been receiving therapy at Natea Caetés for two years, praised the playful initiative that involved users and companions. "I want to congratulate the institution on its third anniversary; it is of great value in our lives to have a center to receive quality, safe, and humanized care. My son has already made great progress in socialization. It is all very rewarding."

Natea Caetés is composed of a multiprofessional team, including speech therapists, psychologists, occupational therapists, physical education professionals, social services, nursing, and caregivers, and is part of the Caetés Hospital Complex (CHC).

Service: The Caetés Hospital Complex (CHC) is part of the health network of the Government of Pará, under the administration of the National Institute for Social and Human Development (INDSH), in partnership with the State Department of Public Health (Sespa).

The unit serves users 100% through the Unified Health System (SUS). It is located on Avenida Barão de Capanema, in the Centro neighborhood, in the municipal seat of Capanema. More information can be obtained by phone: (91) 3122-7391.
