Banpará strengthens exchange service to assist visitors of COP30 in Belém
The service is one of the strategies of the government of Pará to strengthen the local economy and consolidate the image of the State as a global tourist destination
With the approach of the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30), which will be held from November 10 to 21 in Belém, the government of Pará, through the Bank of the State of Pará (Banpará), reinforces the service in tourism exchange — a service that allows the buying and selling of foreign currencies. Currently, it is possible to make the transaction in at least six agencies in the capital. The initiative aims to provide more convenience to tourists, entrepreneurs, and international visitors arriving in Pará for the event.
“Banpará will play a fundamental role during COP30 in welcoming visitors from various countries, offering a safe and accessible service for currency exchange. The exchange is another way for the bank to contribute to strengthening the local economy and to the image of Pará as a global destination,” highlights Ruth Pimentel Mello, the institution's CEO.
Among the currencies traded are the US dollar (USD) and the euro (EUR). The rates vary according to the daily market quotation and can be checked directly at the service points or on Banpará's social media.
To carry out the currency exchange operation, it is necessary to present an official document with a photo and CPF — or passport, in the case of foreigners. The service is available to individuals, according to the regulations of the Central Bank. Check the units:
