Resulting from the urban dance assembly practice workshop at the Curro Velho Workshop Center (NOCV), the show "F.R.A.G.M.E.N.T.O.S" arrives at the Theater of the NOCV with the purpose of valuing urban dance expressions. The performances are scheduled for October 24 and 25, at the NOCV Theater starting at 7 PM. Admission to watch the show is free.

Jorge Cunha, coordinator of Artistic Initiation at the Center, explains that the creation is the result of a research and experimentation process that navigates between different strands of Urban Dances and the aesthetic directions of Contemporary Dance. This procedure results in the construction of a hybrid and contemporary language.

“On stage, the performers reveal fragments of collective experiences, bringing elements that translate the struggles, resistances, and strengths of the streets. Each gesture and moving body composes a portrait of youth that reinvents itself and asserts itself as an artistic and social expression,” details Cunha.

The show reaffirms dance as a space for listening, resistance, and transformation, and celebrates the creative strength of urban bodies. F.R.A.G.M.E.N.T.O.S positions art as a tool for dialogue, belonging, and change.

The show is a production of the Cultural Foundation of Pará – Curro Velho Workshop Center, choreographed by Rafinha Brito, and coordinated by Jorge Cunha. The cast includes Andressa Souza, Gabriela Fernandes, Iury Silva, Lucas Chermont, Madson Moraes, Pablo Silva, Rafael Mendes, and Simonne Dornellas.

The realization of this assembly demonstrates the ongoing role of the Cultural Foundation of Pará (FCP) as the main state body responsible for executing public cultural policies in the state of Pará, promoting artistic training, cultural production, and free access to cultural goods. Follow FCP's actions on the website and social media of the institution.
