'Por Todas Elas' guarantees the delivery of over 1,300 prescription glasses to residents of Jaderlândia, in Ananindeua
The delivery ensures better health and quality of life for people who received eye care during the action held at the site last September
More than 1,300 residents of the Jaderlândia neighborhood in Ananindeua received new prescription glasses this Monday (20) through the "Por Todas Elas" program. The action is part of the state government's public policies aimed at promoting health and quality of life for Pará women and their families.
During the delivery event, held at the Cristo Peregrino Parish, the Governor of Pará, Helder Barbalho, spoke about the importance of returning to the site just over a month after the large action that provided free health and citizenship services to the community and delivering the long-awaited glasses that will improve the lives of hundreds of people.
“Today we return to Jaderlândia, in Ananindeua, to continue the citizenship and service actions for the population. We are delivering more than 1,300 glasses that benefit this community. Women and also men who participated in the 'Por Todas Elas' program, who needed an eye exam and are now leaving here with their glasses, choosing the frames, all for free for our population,” declared the head of the state executive.
The Lieutenant Governor Hana Ghassan also participated in the delivery and highlighted the benefits that will arise from the new glasses.
“I know the importance that these glasses will have in people's lives. This delivery means dignity, inclusion, and care for women and also for men, children, and the elderly who would not be able to afford this cost and now will have the opportunity to see better and live with more quality,” she emphasized.
More health and quality of life
Among the beneficiaries, the atmosphere was one of emotion and gratitude. Educator Vanessa Pereira shared that she had been waiting for years for the opportunity to replace her glasses.
“These new glasses will help me in all moments, as I need them to read, study, and work. Without glasses, I can see very little. Thanks to God and this action, I will be able to improve my eye health,” she said.
Another beneficiary was resident Vânia Oliveira da Silva, who, in addition to the new glasses, also received a new wheelchair, from the care she received during the 'Por Todas Elas' program action held last September.
“It was a very important action for all of us here in Jaderlândia, and we thank you for everything. Many people have vision problems and cannot get exams because they are expensive, in addition to the cost of glasses. So, this action came at a good time. I was very happy to have been selected,” she celebrated.
Por Todas Elas - The delivery of glasses was part of a series of actions from the 'Por Todas Elas' program that have been traveling through the neighborhoods of Belém, the Metropolitan Region, and also the interior of the State, providing free health, citizenship, and inclusion services. The program's itinerant actions have already totaled over 190,000 services and ensured the production and delivery of more than 40,000 prescription glasses.
According to the State Secretary of Citizenship Articulation, Elieth Braga, the program's goal is to bring public services closer to the population and ensure dignity.
“The Por Todas Elas program was created to care for people, especially women, who are the heart of families. The delivery of these glasses is a concrete way to promote more quality of life, autonomy, and social inclusion,” the manager highlighted.
Service - People who were served in the Jaderlândia action and could not attend the delivery this Monday (20) can pick up their glasses starting this Tuesday (21) directly at the Usina da Paz Cabanagem, located at Avenida Damasco, No. 37. It is necessary to present an official identification document.
In case of possible problems with the delivered glasses, interested parties should also go to the Usina da Paz Cabanagem to request the necessary corrections.
